The Peace Tour: An Update from Chris & Tysha

As I reflect on the past 12 months I see everything coming together exactly as it should. After all, everything is always perfect, yes? When Tysha and I first thought of The Peace Church I thought the money to support it would all come from business activities I had just started. The fact that no one person has funded everything has meant it truly became a creation of those that came and joined in our mission of creating a more kind and compassionate world. I love this about The Peace Church.

Our religion is kindness.
If you can help another, do so.
If you can not, do your best to do them no harm.

And with that simple mission we have been joined by people of all faiths and backgrounds.
Buddhsits, Christians, Pagans, Wiccans and other faiths have joined us.
People from the environmental movement and animal welfare have joined us.
The GBLT community has joined us.
And together we are making difference.

Ministers of Peace have served in many ways. Some serve their local communities like Gaia does in Benicia, Greg Lunger in Long Beach and now Tysha, Ron and I, in Reno.

Others have served by starting online communities, publishing books, and traveling the country. Others are sharing their gifts every day like Rhonda.

As The Peace Church grows it becomes more clear as we stand in our intention of helping others we will grow and the universe will deliver. Napoleon Hill said once you step into the flow of abundance you won't understand why you didn't find it before and it will flow so fast and so furiously that you couldn't stop it even if you wanted to. Pretty awesome words.

In creating Spread Peace Reno, Tysha and I stepped away from everything that did not feel abundant and focused only on what we wanted for 30 days. We wanted to create a local group for The Peace Church.

Now that the infrastructure is in place at The Peace Church we didn't just want to be administrators or people travelling around making videos only of what "others" are doing. We wanted to take advantage of everything The Peace Church offers and DO IT OURSELVES!

We're creating a path others can follow to create a life of service just as the other Ministers are doing in their own, unique ways. The past two years I've lived in an RV; traveling the country. First on the Forever Green Tour and then on The Peace Tour. I've met thousands of people wanting to make a difference in the world but felt they didn't have the time or the money.

Having been a Network Marketer I'm all about duplication. I don't want to feed someone for one day. I want to create a structure that feeds thousands of people every day.

I also know before anything can duplicate someone has to do it. It's as simple as that. For anything to happen a thousand times it must first happen once. For me, "just doing it" means setting your intention and taking whatever small step you can in that direction TODAY. Not tomorrow. For example we can't feed thousands of people every day right now but we still bought some peanut butter and jelly and will feed as many as we can TODAY.

I've learned that if I trust. If I stay in the flow all is taken care of. When Tysha and I got the Peace House here in Reno, I saw an opportunity to be an example of peace. To be an example that could be duplicated by others in communities around the world.

The Peace Church is our "Mother Church". It's run by a Circle of Elders which Tysha and I sit on. It is now a legal church and can support someone in becoming a Minister or Peace and starting their own Ministry as a Buddhist, Christian, Pagan, Hindu or whatever. We only ask that they join us on our mission of spreading peace and compassion.

What is needed now is an example of a successful ministry. It's money from local congregations that will support The Peace Church. As our Ministers grow and their Ministries grow they can help support The Peace Church in providing them more training, events, guidance, radio time and support.

To that end Tysha and I know have been on a divine adventure creating something here in Reno that will have impact far beyond these city borders. I'll write a separate blog about the creation of Spread Peace Reno.

To find a house on the water that allowed our dogs and and partnering with Pastor Ron and everything else happening here every day is nothing short of a miracle.

In 30 days the good people of Reno have joined us in creating "The Peace House", feeding the hungry, and helping us get our new publication, "Spread Peace Reno" off the ground.
