Update on Gaia Peace Church
Ah, it's autumn! The heat of summer is over. Mother Gaia is redressing to celebrate the fall equinox signifying the return to the winter season. So much has happened in Gaia Peace Church over the summer. So, let's see - where to begin!
After our Summer Solstice Celebration for the opening of the first brick and mortar church, many changes took place to Gaia Peace Church and The Peace Church. I heard Great Mother calling me to a different type of service to Her as did other Ministers of Peace. We took a summer break while we took our time to make sure of where She was calling us.
Gaia Peace Church has become Gaia Community dedicated to the teaching of Sacred Feminine. What does that mean? Simply put, my calling through Gaia Community is to provide a safe and sacred space for the work of Great Mother.
This led to the formation of Earth Touch Wisdom Center. I am so excited about this community! Through Earth Touch Wisdom Center, an extension of Gaia Community, we are moving into our true calling - honoring Mother through the teaching of metaphysical arts and providing a training center. The training center offers live and online classes in Reiki, Meditation, Sacred Drumming, Tarot, Goddess Spirituality and creating a more abundant and authentic life.
It is also through Gaia Community that I offer spiritual life coaching and readings based on a loving and gently system. I have been given the tremendous honor of channeling messages from the Great Mother. Currently, my book on the Sacredness of the Feminine is in the editing stages. My new Reiki Lifestyle manual is in editing and writing stages as well.
You may find our class offerings at my Earth Touch Wisdom Center site. The Gaia Community site is being created now.
Our time of humanity is at a great stage of transition right now. We are being called to be of service by Mother. She has called many of us to aid all beings to find their purpose - we must do the work. If not, She will replace us with others. What does that mean? Simply put, in Her words:
"My children, I have called many of you to be Lightworkers and Spiritworkers for the healing of humanity and my Body. So many of you took the challenge and have worked diligently; but, many of you succumbed to greed and Ego. You talk beautiful words without substance. It is now time to move into your Purpose. Without you, humanity will not grow as it should. Those that were called and refuse to work with integrity, continuing to work for their own good - not humanity's - will lose the gifts I have given. I will call many more in their stead. Step into your Soul Purpose with Joy, Faith, Love, and do My Work. Live authentically within your Purpose."

My name is Jade and I live in Colorado. I too have recieved this calling. First in March of 2003 in a dream. I have been working steadily to move forward with this calling since that time, at times referring to myself as a light worker, spirit worker, minister, teacher...not quite knowing what to call myself. Just knowing that it needed done. Some periods have shown great advancement and others not so much. But, recently the calling or drive has become incredibly persistent. I am at the point where I felt it was time to open a church/educational facility/community center....again, not sure what it should be called. I have written articles of encorporation, bylaws, and an annual strategic plan. I have recruited Board Members. We have begun to move into the community at times with greater success than others. Then two days ago, it came to me....Gaia Connection Center. Being a semi-modern person I googled this name. I want to share energies with the right things. Boom.....I found you! You are doing what I have been called to do but you are further along with it. Please tell me if you are looking at expanding branches to other geographical areas, as I would be unable to move back to California? Or at the very least some advice on moving forward. Why re-onvent the wheel?

So good to hear from you. I haven't updated for a little while. We know when we are in the flow and following our path when things move quickly. Our Gaia Community is growing and changing and has taken its own form. Within the community, I have created a women's temple called Gaia Awakening Center. Gaia Community is the mother of the children of Earth Touch Wisdom Center and Gaia Awakening Center. You actually seem to have gone a little farther than I. I am a congregation of The Peace Church, so I am using those articles of incorporation; however, Gaia Community seems to be going a separate direction that the other congregations - not a bad thing, just different. The other congregations of Peace Church are call SpreadPeace________. The blank is the city they are located and they are dedicated to feeding and providing aid to the homeless, an absolutely amazing endeavor. They are all doing such beautiful. My dedication is to empower women to stand in their own beauty and power - to bring about healing to all men and women - to undo the harm that has been done by our patriarchal societies - and to once again, bring the love and nurturing back to ourselves as women and men. My husband stands strong in this with me - he is such an amazing man who completely embraces the Sacred Feminine Principle and the Sacred Masculine Principle. We work hard to bring balance.
So that being said, we are working on our non-profit status - a process that feels, at times, very daunting. I have a board of directors, articles of incorporation, bylaws, but have not done the annual strategic plan. We're working on it, but, I seem to continuously change. So, I have allowed Gaia Community to change and take on her own form.
I think it would be amazing to have a sister group in Colorado! As far as moving forward, I and one of my members are currently working on curriculum starting in January, 2010 to offer to the community. I have jumped in with both feet and offer a once a month Free Healing Clinic. Each month, my Reiki students offer free Reiki Sessions, a local homeopath gives free lectures and evaluations, and we offer afternoon workshops on a variety of topics. We offer a monthly Women's Study Group, a monthly Women's EFT Group, and just started offering an EFT Healthy Body Group. We are planning a Goddess retreat for March during the spring equinox, a one day "Finding the Goddess" within in February, and are planning our online classes, correspondence classes, and workshops. My husband is working on workshops and classes for men as well - specifically focused on the balance of the Sacred Feminine and Masculine Principles and making it work in a relationship. He has personal experience of living with a "Goddess" and experiences the Goddess within himself. Of course, I am still a vital part of my Healing Center providing Healing Sessions and Spiritual Life Coaching and running Earth Touch Wellness Center. Whew! Makes me tired just writing about it. But, I feel such an urgency - a call from Divine Mother - to get this done.
Again, it would be amazing to have a sister group. Perhaps, this is something we should explore further. Part of our vision is to travel with my husband givin seminars and workshops on working together to create the Sacred Balance. It is so needed in our society - we both feel the urgency.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me. I know how very busy you must be. I appreciate you sorting out the connection you have with Peace Church...we all must find our beginnings somewhere. Best of luck with Earth Touch Wisdom Center Center and Gaia Awaening Center. If there is anything I can do to help you process along, please let me know.
I started the non-profit process about a year ago, without much luck at this point in time. Several letters from the IRS later, I am discouraged at best. I actually have given thought to running as a business for profit as opposed to a non-profit, but am undecided at this stage in the game. I think we have settled on the name Ancient Mothers Wisdom Center.
I too am working on a 2010 curriculum. Some things being taught by myself, and additional topics being taught by others. We offer a monthly reiki exchange, a monthly women's group held on the esbats, and a Spiral Scout troop. We are setting the calendar of classes ect. for 2010.
I see you offer many free activities. May I ask if you get a salary and have an actual facility, and if so how you manage to pay for those things. I waffle between providing free things to help spread the messege and wanting to truly make this my job that helps to support my family. Please share your thoughts on this subject.
Looking forward to establishing a sister group.

Because I own Earth Touch Wellness Center, a massage therapy and healing center, my income comes from there. The free activities started a while ago. My new curriculum will involved financial exchange. What I have found that offering small free sessions brings what we do to the public, but when it comes to classes and workshops, there has to be an exchange. I am moving from bodywork to teaching and writing to support my family. I have other massage therapists to take over my bodywork clients and I will continue with my clients that come in for my Healing Sessions. Along with teaching the classes and workshops, I can offer some free events along with making a living. The best of both worlds.
I, too, am bogged in the non-profit status. From what I understand is that the only difference comes from when people make donations - tax write off or not. Also, if you are non-profit, you get some perks, but it seems for the most part, it's harder and there is more crutiny. For me, I am putting my intentions for a non-profit someday, but for now, I am doing what I'm doing and going forward.
I love the name - Ancient Mother's Wisdom Center. Beautiful. I have found that I have to make a change to Gaia Awakening Center. It seems that one of our former ministers of peace here at The Peace Church has taken exception to me using "Awakening Center." She operates a facility in Georgia called "The Awakening Center." I guess I can understand; however, there was no intention to copy what she is doing. So, I believe I will combine Earth Touch Wisdom Center and Gaia Awakening Center to be Gaia Wisdom Center - combination of both. My intent is to continue with our Reiki Training Program and go forward with our Metaphysical Training Program. My husband is going to offer workshops for men to awaken the Sacred Feminine within, so it seems a nice blend of both. Our women's group is growing already with more interest each and every day! I am excited to go forward on what I know is my calling.
We will definitely stay in touch. Some of my information comes form the Awakening Women's Institute, so you might look at it. Beautiful stuff.
